My First Signing

Exciting things are happening in the studio! I’m thrilled to share that I signed with a local artisan shop here in town to sell my miniature artwork. A dear friend kept nudging me to stop in and introduce myself to the owner—after a little pep-talking and courage-gathering, I finally did… and I’m so glad I took the leap.

Below are the completed pieces I put into the store. I’m experimenting with different framing styles. Feel free to leave a comment on the style you like best. You’ll can find these originals at The Emporium, Veneta OR.

If you’re interested in a custom miniature art piece, made with you in mind, I’d love to create something special for you in the style of those below. Just choose your favorite style send me an email using the form below.

Price: $25.00

Om (Aum): The Sound That Connects

If you’ve ever sat in a yoga class, you’ve probably heard that deep, resonant “Om.” It’s said to be the primordial sound—the vibration that gave rise to the universe. From the tiniest atom to vast galaxies, everything is thought to hum with this frequency.

The symbol of Om reflects different states of being: waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. The dot represents a state beyond them all, while the curved line above reminds us of Maya, the illusion that keeps us from seeing the ultimate truth.

Chanting Om is more than tradition—it’s believed to balance mind, body, and spirit, reduce stress, and connect us to something larger than ourselves. For me, bringing Om into my studio before starting a piece clears my mind and opens space for creativity. It’s like I’m tuning into the same rhythm the universe began with—and letting that vibration flow into my art.

Here are my first Om paintings. Om 1, 2, and 3 are resting beautifully in my studio. They are painted on a 3×3-inch canvas. Om 4 is 4×4 inches and was given as a gift to a dear friend. I’m excited to watch the evolution of my Om paintings.

You can commission an Om painting by emailing me your request and your favorite color. Om commissions are painted on 4×4-inch canvas and come with an easel to display the work.

Price: $25.00

Includes: 4×4 Om painting, in colors of your choice & a display easel

Ladybug Series

My dear friend Pammy loves ladybugs. As a holiday gift, I decided to explore creating ladybug art. Below, you can see my process of developing three versions of the same basic painting. I gifted version two to Pammy. I fell in love with version three. However, when another friend commissioned a ladybug painting, I chose version three to fulfill the order. Although I felt sad to see it go, I am thrilled it will find a cozy place in someone’s home.

I still have this version. It is painted on a 12×12  unfinished wood plaque using Golden Heavy Body acrylic paint.

Price: Not For Sale

Here is version two. In this version, I decided to add random tree branches to give the painting more depth. I also made the whimsical bubbles smaller so they wouldn’t overpower the ladybugs. This is the version I gifted to Pammy. It is painted on 8×10 stretched canvas using Golden Heavy Body acrylic paint.

Price: Gifted

This is the third version. This painting stands out from the others because it is set over water. It’s the version I fell in love with, especially because it has a cave-like appearance in the background. This piece was painted on a 4×6 wooden craft board using Golden Heavy Body acrylic paint. It was commissioned, and the new owner is very pleased with it.
